Free Balboa Park Tours

San Diego's Balboa Park is known for its Spanish colonial architecture and gardens.


Learn all about the Park by taking a tour led by the Park Rangers or the dedicated Park volunteers.

Balboa Park's Rangers offer free tours of Balboa Park to the public on Tuesdays and Sundays at 1:00 p.m. Experienced volunteers also lead specialized one-hour tours of Balboa Park at 10:00 a.m. on Saturdays. For both the Ranger and volunteers tours, participants are asked to meet in front of the Visitors Center, located in the House of Hospitality. The tours are not held if it is raining.

Additionally, a volunteer stewardship group, called the Committee of One Hundred, conducts its own free tours exploring the El Prado (central section of Balboa Park) on the first Wednesday of the month. Participants are asked to meet at 9:30 a.m. in front of the Visitor's Center, located in the House of Hospitality.
