Dog Friendly Beaches in San Diego
With over 70 miles of beaches, you need to know where to bring your pooch and enjoy the time together. Again, rules, rules, rules. But, there are some fun places to romp around. Del Mar Make sure to look for the San Dieguito Rivermouth. North of 29th Street Dogs are permitted off leash and under voice control from the day after Labor Day until June 15th. *Dogs are permitted on a leash from June 16th through Labor Day. North of Powerhouse Park to 29th Street Dogs are permitted on a leash from the day after Labor Day to June 15th. *Dogs are prohibited from June 16 through Labor Day. South of Powerhouse Park Dogs are permitted on a leash year round. Imperial Beach Dogs need to be leashed. Seacoast Drive at Imperial Beach Blvd. Coronado Dog Beach 100 Ocean Blvd--north end of beach near NAS base. Dogs can roam freely. City of San Diego: Ocean Beach Southern part has leash rules but north end near San Diego River- allows unleashed dogs. North Pacific Beach Dogs allowed ON LEASH before 9am and after 6pm. La Jolla Shores Beach Strict rules for leashed dogs only 6pm-9am Fiesta Island Outside of fenced areas dogs can be UNLEASHED. Fiesta Island Road, Mission Bay
