Knotts Soak City Water Park San Diego
Knott's Soak City Water Park has 32 acres of 22 smokin' water rides that thrill and chill.
* Unlike the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, Legoland and the Wild Animal Park, KNOTT's is not open year-round.
Knott's Soak City is in Chula Vista, California, a twenty minute drive south of downtown San Diego. This attraction gets little fanfare compared to the San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Seaworld and Legoland. Unlike the large amusement parks in San Diego, Knott's Soak City is not open year 'round. It is also geographically off-the-beaten path, of sorts. Still, it is a Knott's property and once you enter, you quickly realize it is a popular spot with lots of folks who just want to cool off and have fun in the sun. One thing you should know. Expect long lines at the more popular daredevilish rides. Entrance to Knott's Soak City is pricey with parking ($10), admission for adults at nearly $30/$22 for children, and normal amusement park-type food prices. Look for the links before to save a few bucks by ordering online or you may want to look into the Go San Diego Card to see if the Go San Diego Card can save you even more cash. However, it is a clean place and if you like water parks, you'll have a blast. To save money, you might want to eat a big breakfast or eat a big late lunch. Remember to wait at least 30 minutes between eating and plunging down the water slides otherwise you might toss your tacos. If you just want to go, have fun and not think about lines or money------go for it!
