ANDREW CUNANAN (1969-1997) is buried in the mausoleum section of
Cunanan
Holy Cross Cemetery (4470 Hilltop Drive). He has the distinction of being the first person from San Diego to be placed on the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted" list after killing five people, including Gianni Versace. The former gay gigolo used to wait tables at California Cuisine in Hillcrest. As authorities began to close in on him in Florida, Cunanan shot himself to death on a houseboat. Interestingly, Cunanan's existence is sometimes denied by Holy Cross's staff and site is unlisted in the 'directory.' Some other celebrity burial sites have stated that his tomb is unmarked. This is not true - we have seen it and we have taken a picture to prove it.
