Mission Valley Hotels San Diego
Mission Valley is a great place if you plan to spend most of your time out of the hotel room taking in all the sights.
The Valley is heavily populated with many of the national chain's hotels and motels. Most of the hotels/motels are located directly off Interstate 8. You can tell if your hotel is in Mission Valley if it has an address with Camino del Rio South or Camino del Rio North. The only exception to this rule of thumb is the Mission Valley Marriott which is located on Rio San Diego Drive. Rio is Spanish for river - Mission Valley is not only bisected by Interstate 8, but also by the San Diego River.

One of the best hotels in the Valley is located right next to the San
Diego River -- the Town & Country Resort .
While a little dated, this hotel has a lot to offer. It is a hotel/conference center that features 3 pools, multiple restaurants, access to the golf course across the street (Riverwalk) and actual walking distance to San Diego's most successful mall, Fashion Valley. For Mission Valley (Hotel Circle) this hotel will give you the most convenience in a large property.
Sheraton, Doubletree and Hilton all have properties in Mission Valley. Those three are tower-style hotels and will serve you well by giving you a room in a good, clean hotel in a convenient location. All are near the freeway so ask for a quiet room. In fact, most of the hotels in Mission Valley are very close to the freeway.
Comfort Suites, and Travelodge and the others, generally regarded in that class of motel/hotel, are also located in Mission Valley.
