SEAPORT VILLAGE
Seaport Village on San Diego bay is a great place to enjoy the fresh air, retail shops, food establishments, fly kites and of course, ride the
the historic Looff Carousel. The Looff Carousel was hand-carved in 1895 by Charles Looff and folks still love it. The animals of the carousel include: 54 animals (incl. a dragon, giraffe, teddy bear and lion) and two horse-drawn chariots. All of the horses have natural horsehair tails. The carousel is 54 feet across and is built in 20 sections. It also includes 40 hand-painted landscapes and the original organ.
Each ride is $2.00 and the carousel runs daily.

It is one of the few carousels left in the nation that still allows riders to try to catch the brass ring. The Balboa Park's beautiful carousel operates daily during the summer and on weekend and school holidays throughout the rest of the year. Mid-June through Labor Day--Daily. 11:00a.m.-5:30 p.m
