San Diego's Top 3 Shopping Malls
NOTE: Most of the San Diego malls are outdoor malls.

  • #1 Fashion Valley (7007 Friars Road, Mission Valley,(619) 688-9113)-The big daddy of the malls, Fashion Valley continues to be the #1 mall in San Diego year after year. Its anchors include: Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's, the one and only Bloomingdale's, AMC Theatres, and...JC Penney. Fashion Valley is our pick for the best mall in San Diego, hands down.

NOTE: The operators of Fashion Valley have been adding a string of new stores to appeal to San Diego's growing interest in fashion forward style including: Anthropologie, Jimmy Choo, Juicy Couture, CH Carolina Herrera, Barney's New York CO-OP, Hermes, M Missoni, Michael Kors, Tourneau, True Religion, and soon, the teen favorite, H&M.

  • #2 Horton Plaza (324 Horton Plaza, Downtown, (619) 239- 8180)- The most urban mall in town is located smack in the heart of downtown San Diego. Many San Diegans consider the development of Horton Plaza the catalyst for redevloping the rest of downtown. Horton Plaza is a colorful, multi-level mall that features the following anchors: Nordstrom, Macy's,, and Regal Cinemas.
  • #3 The Forum at Carlsbad (1991 Calle Barcelona, Carlsbad, (760) 479-0166)- The Forum is one of the newer concept malls that are slowly being introduced in San Diego. The other one is Otay Ranch Town Center which is in the south/eastern part of San Diego. The concept is to create a sense of a village atmosphere with places for people to congregate while dining or drinking. The Forum is THE only mall in San Diego that has a Sur Le Table. Aside from the cooking store, this mall features an attempt to include local businesses such as the Wine Loft and Chuao Choclatier in addition to the national chains. Unfortunately, this mall does not have a website at this time.
