San Diego Beaches
Beaches, Beaches, Beaches. San Diego has 70 miles of beaches...and each beach has its own flavor. How will you know which beach is right for you or your family. Believe it or not, there are different beaches for different needs.
There are south-facing and west-facing beaches; there are beaches that are great for kids and others that are not. Some are great for sunsets and others are good for people watching. So, pack a cooler, grab a chair and head to the beach.
SMOKING is banned on all beaches in San Diego County except for state beaches. The City of San Diego banned cigarette smoking at all city parks and beaches. Fines start at $250. SMOKERS BEWARE!!May 1, 2007- The City of San Diego-City Council broadened an 8-month-old ban on smoking, extending it to fishing piers, sea walls and boardwalks at city beaches and to Cabrillo Bridge, and the span over state Route 163 at Balboa Park.
During the last year, ALL beaches in San Diego except for Coronado's Silver Strand, Solana Beach and Camp Pendleton have a NO ALCOHOL policy.
