2008 San Diego Quilt Show
By San Diego Travel Tips Team
Wednesday, Aug 27, 2008 09:34
27th Annual San Diego Quilt Show

Quilting is one of the country's most popular crafts and it is also becoming an increasingly popular art form. One of the biggest quilt shows on the West Coast, the San Diego Quilt Show attracts 6,000 people annually to the San Diego Convention Center (111 West Harbor Drive, Hall F).

The show runs from August 28-August 30, 2008. If you have been curious about quilting, this is a great way to see all the possibilities that this versatile craft offers. Hundreds of quilts will be on display and there will also be plenty of quilt sales, quilting vendors, a charity raffle, a quilting bee, and even a 2008 quilt challenge.
As it did last year, the event is a fundraiser for the Center for Community Solutions, Project Safehouse. Last year, the quilters and attendees raised $15,000 for Meals on Wheels. They hope to exceed that number with this year's big show.

Admission:

11 years old and up: Single Day Pass $8.00
Multi-Day Pass $12.00
4 - 10 years old: $5.00
3 Years old and under: FREE

The Quilt Show Schedule

Thursday & Friday - 10am-6pm

Saturday - 10am-5pm
